The Arizona Pool AG story began in 1965 when brothers Erich and Martin Jermann developed the world’s first wood-plastic pool in Zwingen near Laufen, Basel-Landschaft. With this pioneering spirit, the company quickly established itself as a leading supplier in Switzerland, with over 15,000 completed pool projects to date.

In 1990, Martin Jermann founded Casa Plus Keller & Schwimmbad GmbH and began manufacturing polyester swimming pools. This emerging type of poool boasted many compelling advantages: polyester pools are prefabricated and be installed quickly with very little construction work. Thir smooth surface makes it difficult for dirt and algae to stick to them, which facilitates cleaning and reduces maintenance costs. Polyester pools are robust and resistant to UV radiation, chemicals, and temperature fluctuations, which contributes to their long life. Many polyester pools are saltwater resistant, making them suitable for use as saltwater pools. Polyester pools are available in various shapes, colors, and sizes, aand can be equipped with steps, benches, and sunbathing areas. A wide range of attractions such as counter-current systems, massage jets, and waterfalls can be added. Polyester pools are the real winners in terms of value for money, especially when taking into account both the installation cost and ongoing maintenance. Over the past 35 years, various new featues have been added, each with their own specific advantages.

A new dimension in fibreglass pool construction.
In 2025, Rolf Richterich, CEO of Arizona Pool AG, discovered Leisure Pools. During a visit to the world’s largest fiberglass swimming pool factory, he was impressed by the advantages of this unique production process. After thorough examination based on his 35 years of experience in polyester pool construction, and his assessment as a civil engineer, he quickly concluded that these pools represented a new standard in production. He found the selection of shapes, sizes, and colors to be second to none.
